Chief Executive Officer

Salary £40k plus bonus

JudoScotland, is a leading national governing body responsible for Judo in Scotland . We have a strong reputation for developing young players and consistently producing European, World and Olympic class players with three winning selection to represent GB in Beijing . JudoScotland wishes to build on this foundation with the express aim of delivering medal success and performance excellence in the London 2012 Olympics and 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow . This is an exciting and challenging opportunity and we now wish to appoint a Chief Executive Officer to lead and develop the governing body in line with its development plan.

The successful candidate will:

 

•  Lead the development of JudoScotland
•  Manage staff and support the contribution of volunteers
•  Liaise with and develop partnerships with key external partners
•  Manage operations, procedures, finance projects and income generation
•  Communicate and promote the aims of the organisation internally and externally
•  Manage and develop the National Judo Academy

Applicants must be qualified to degree level or equivalent and be able to demonstrate considerable management experience. Sound organisational, planning, communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Knowledge of judo or other sports is desirable.
