Last weekend (22nd /23rd April) some
of our youngest players on the World Class Start squad (i.e. B
band) competed in Rouen, France. For many, this was the first
time that they had represented Great Britain, and we can be proud
of how our young players conducted themselves both on and off
the mat. This tournament provided an excellent opportunity to
compete against different competitors and to experience the strong
high gripping techniques, which are typical of French players,
even at this age.

of our C band players were competing against foreign competitors
in Portugal. Please refer to results below. Following the competition
our team will attend an International training camp. Here they
will get the opportunity to work on their individual areas of
strength and weakness, which may have been highlighted by the
competition, with the help of our World Class Start Coaches.
