Sport England has strongly endorsed the British Judo Association Strategic Plan for the four-year period 2009-2013with an investment of £10.2 million and, as part of the Association’s delivery strategy, considerable emphasis is being placed on developing the many volunteers that play a crucial role in the organisation and development of the sport. These posts provide an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who want to join a forward-thinking dynamic organisation fully committed to delivering their target objectives.

Applicants will need to demonstrate a sound knowledge of, and experience in, sport development at local and regional levels and engagement and motivation of volunteers. They will also need the ability to engage and develop strong partnerships internally and externally and capability to develop plans and deliver these against agreed targets and to monitor and evaluate the outcomes.

The ability to communicate at a high level, both orally and in writing and the ability to deliver against agreed targets is essential. Computer literacy and current driving licence are essential.
