The British Judo Association
is the National Governing Body for the Olympic Sport of Judo in
Great Britain.
As part of the British
Judo Association’s targets of increasing its adult participation
by 20,000 and reducing the drop off by a minimum 5% year on year
we are seeking to recruit a Development Officer for London. This
position will have the responsibility of developing Judo within
the London Universities and providing models of good partnership
to be used across the country. A highly motivated and experienced
person with good knowledge and experience of University Sports
Unions is required.
Applicants will need to
demonstrate a sound knowledge of, and experience in, sport development
at local and regional levels and engagement and motivation of
volunteers. You will also need the ability to engage and develop
strong partnerships internally and externally and capability to
develop plans and deliver these against agreed targets and to
monitor and evaluate the outcomes.
A degree or professional
qualification in a sports related discipline will be desirable.
The ability to communicate at a high level, both orally and in
writing and the ability to deliver against agreed targets is essential.
Computer literacy and current driving licence are essential.
