It is with great regret that the British Judo £1000 raffle will not continue.

The British Judo Trust £1000 raffle started in November 2008. From the beginning we have seen many lucky winners all benefiting from the £1000 from the Trust, with the final winner being Windsor Judo Club.

The Trust has promoted the raffle scheme through numerous sources and even added a direct debit scheme and also invited individuals to take part in the initiative, to ease the entry process.

The Trust has tried to increase numbers to cover some of the monthly winning amount, but the entry numbers are still low, with on average only 30 clubs taking part per month.

In summary the winning amounts are now eating into the funds that the Trust makes available for grants to groups and individuals to develop the sport of judo.

All of those clubs/individuals that have entered for the year will of course be contacted and refunded as required, those that pay by direct debit will also be contacted to ensure all payments are cancelled if required.
