This
year, the one day event will take place on Saturday 9 July
at the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield a venue that
has previously hosted several judo events.
All Areas and Home
Countries are invited to compete against each other and
have been sent communication regarding the new rules as
agreed by the Board of Directors and a copy of the entry
forms.
This year, there
is a Junior Team event (which has merged the Cadet &
Junior Teams from last year to allow all areas to be able
to field a team) and a Senior Team event.
So, if you’d like
to take part in this event, get in touch with your Area/Home
Country to find out how to be a part of their team.
In 2010 the North
West won the senior men's category while Scotland won the
women’s category. In the Junior section Midlands won the
men’s title as London claimed the women’s equivalent. The
capital team also took the cadet boys title while the North
West took the cadet girls version.
The Championships
was launched over 40 years ago, and has become the event
of the year for Areas and Home Countries to celebrate their
National team players.
So, show your support for your Area/Home
County by coming along and cheering on your players from
the crowd.
