PE School Sport Club Links Co-ordinator

The British Judo Association (BJA), with the support of Sport England, is seeking high calibre candidates for the post of Regional Club Development Officer with national responsibility for the co-ordination of the PE School Sport Club Links (PESSCL) programme. The regional responsibility will cover the BJA’s English areas of Midlands, Northern Home Counties and Eastern.

An enthusiastic, energetic Development Officer, responsible to the Head of Operations, is required to promote participation in Judo through a range of partnerships with BJA Area Committees, clubs and Sports Partnerships. The successful applicant will lead nationally on the development and implementation of the Associations PESSCL programme, development of the BJA’s Club Recognition Scheme and will also implement BJA policies within the Associations Areas.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sports development and be able to demonstrate organisational and administrative ability, preferably in sport, a high level of self-motivation and the ability to inspire others. Knowledge and understanding of the PESSCL programme is required. Excellent communications and IT skills, and the willingness to work flexible hours are also essential requirements. This is a key position within the BJA and it offers exceptional opportunities for advancement, both professional and financial, to the right candidate.
