North West Area Age Banded Championships on Sunday 21st February is heavily oversubscribed on the entry. This is due to the event now being classed as an identification event due to the cancellation of the U20 British Trials and the event organisers are unable to limit the entry.

Taking into account the length of day for players and volunteer officials assisting at this event it has been agreed by the BJA Performance Staff, Technical Commission and Refereeing Commission that the fights will be 3 minutes in duration – not the normal 4 minutes. This will reduce the length of day, though it is still anticipated to finish about 7.30pm. (This finish time is only an approximate guide and may change  – information will be available throughout the day).

Considering the high number of entries the weigh-in times are:- Section: C: 8.15am – 9.00am and Section: D Noon – 1.00pm

This will hopefully ease some of the pressure of number of individuals at the venue and waiting time for players.
