Five-time Paralympian
Ian Rose has been dealt a cruel injury blow after suffering a
torn ACL which has ruled him out of the VI European Championships
next month and the next six-nine months of competition.
The injury involves the over-stretching or tearing of the anterior
cruciate ligament (ACL) in the knee and further tests will reveal
whether the long-time standout will need surgery.

Paralympic Performance Coach Jean-Paul Bell said: “Ian was
training and took a knock and it looked fairly innocuous. It’s
very disappointing for Ian, he’s a fantastic competitor,
we’ll work with him to help his recovery and wish him well.”
