Invitation to submit CVs for high dan grades

The BJA Promotion Commission now automatically review all registered Judoka from 5th Dan and above to determine whether promotion should be recommended. The previously employed ‘application’ driven scheme has been discontinued and replaced by this formal grade review process.

Flowcharts are available on the BJA Website detailing the minimum time in grade and age requirements for the various possible scenarios and consideration is also made for the level of an individuals activity and achievement within the sport.

To support this procedure, these judoka are encouraged to submit a CV detailing their judo achievements to date and particularly since their last promotion. The CV should ideally be submitted via e-mail as an attached document to dhortonjones@britishjudo.org.uk - hard copies can also be forwarded via BJA Head Office and should be marked for the attention of The BJA Promotion Commission, C/o Dave Horton-Jones.

The template below can be used as a basis for submissions
