with great successful that the following clubs/individuals were
awarded:
- Rainham Judo Club in Kent. This club applied for funding towards
their new judo mat area and sprung floor for the purpose built
dojo in the Medway Park Regional Centre of Sporting Excellence.
They were awarded £1000.
- Greenacres Primary School in Shropshire. The school wants
to provide Judo free to the pupils of the school, in a town
where there is currently no judo club. They were awarded £2000.
- Ryecroft Judo Club in Nottingham. This club which has been
running for fifty years, has relied on donations and volunteers
to keep the club going, unfortunately the club has fallen into
a state of disrepair and fallen behind with regulations and
hence will use this and other funding for new equipment. They
were awarded £2000.
As part of the Trusts
criteria, these awardees will be followed closely by officers
of the Trust and hence updates will be delivered via the Trusts
website and on the BJA Newsletter(s).
