First Annual Women and Girls Conference

Over the next four years the British Judo Association is committed to promoting, developing and supporting women and girl’s participation in judo. The main aim of this first Annual Women and Girls Conference is to bring women and girls together, to explore opportunities which will contribute to an increase in female participation in all areas of the sport.

British Judo can be justly proud of the achievements of females in the sport. There are many excellent female role models both past and present within the sport and it is important to recognise them, celebrate their achievements and learn from their examples.

This inaugural event will, for the first time, bring female judoka together to share experiences. There is a wealth of excellent abilities, high achievements and experience out there and we would like to present these to you in an interactive way through presentations and mat based sessions.

The event will take place on Saturday 6th March 2010, 9.30am for 10am start, at the Village Inn in Walsall (off Junction 10 of M6). There will be meal in the evening and accommodation available on the Saturday evening.

All Women and Girls involved in judo over 14 years of age welcome.

VENUES: MORNING SESSION: Village Hotel, Tempus Drive, Off Junction 10, M6, Walsall WS2 8TJ
