2009-2010 Player Award Winners Announced

The British Judo Association would like to congratulate Great Britain’s most outstanding judo players of 2009-2010 the following players on their achievements over the past year by awarding them a prestigious Player Award:

As voted by the membership

Senior Female Player of the Year – Karina Bryant

Senior Male Player of the Year – Ashley McKenzie

Junior Female Player of the Year – Gemma Howell

Junior Male Player of the Year – Jermaine McIntosh

Paralympic Player of the Year – Ben Quilter

As voted by the Performance staff

Most Improved Male Player of the Year – Michael Horley

Most Improved Female Player of the Year – Megan Fletcher

Most Improved VI Player of the Year – Joe Ingram

As voted by the British Squad

Players Player of the Year – Euan Burton

The Award winners will be presented with their shields at the Awards Dinner on the evening of the opening day of the 2010 GB World Cup in Birmingham, being held at the Botanical Gardens.

Competing in the GB World Cup will be award winners Gemma Howell (-57kg) and Megan Fletcher (-70kg) as part of a 25-strong British team.
