Bremen International and training camp, March 2008
In the Competition there were 29 countries, with some weights having more then 100 players. It was possible to have 7 fights and still not get a medal. It was quite an intimidating event for players who have not fought there before. The WCT squad did not win any medals this year, but we had a 5th place from Lucus Rowe, and 7th places from Joshua Hill and Luke Taylor. What these results do not tell you about is the many excellent performances our players produced, often against older, more experience players.

450 players stayed for the camp, providing a unique randori training opportunity for players, giving them experience of the different fighting styles of varius nations, and the opportunity to get on with the medallists. Our boys demonstrated a superb attitude and focus during this camp, and seemed excited as their confidence grew, as they started to work out ways of catching their opponents, and developing different ways to get around the difficulties (e.g. gripping, strength, stance etc) that they were having.
