AYAC Judo Club in Liverpool has become the first club in the North West Area to gain the British Judo Club Recognition Scheme Silver Award.

The Award was presented to the Chairwoman of the club, Mrs Christine Anderson, by Mr Richard Barraclough, Chairman of the North West Area, at an open evening held recently at the club premises on Shiel Road, Liverpool, in the presence of the MP for Liverpool and the leader of Liverpool City Council and other members of the council.

After the award was presented Mrs Anderson said that she was thrilled at being not only the first club in the North West but also the first club “North of the Watford Gap” to gain the award and she is confident that the club will continue to grow at the rate it has been doing since gaining the bronze award 2 years ago
